From the little sand pile to the tee
In the early days of golf, the ball was raised on a small pile of damp sand shaped by hand at the start of each hole. The tee, that little peg planted in the ground, only became established at the turn of the 20th century: you just need to push it in with one motion, and the ball stays raised, well clear of the grass.
The FAIRWAY applies exactly the same principle to the cigar. Its tapered point sinks into the grass and keeps it upright; its flared head provides a stable support for the cigar, which does not touch the grass or the dew. Good to know: the FAIRWAY is designed to be planted in loose soil: grass, earth, sand or fine gravel, or even a large flower pot on a terrace. On a table, it does not stand upright. Tip: on very dry or compact ground, first push the point in halfway, then turn it slightly while applying pressure: it goes down more easily and holds better. Keep a small cloth in the bag to wipe off the dirt before storing it, thus preserving the copper finish's shine.

How to maintain it?

Avoid abrasive products, scouring sponges, and the dishwasher, which could scratch or dull the surface. Over time, the metal may develop a slight patina: that is the charm of an object that is used.
