About Us

The Atelier Atypique team

Our philosophy

A shop born from a passion for objects with character

Atelier Atypique was born from a simple conviction: the objects that surround us in daily life deserve to be chosen with as much care as the moments they accompany. Rather than the generic and the standardized, we offer objects that have a history, a character, and a quality that can be felt by touch—and that improve with time.

The boutique is built around several worlds that share the same high standards: accessories for cigar enthusiasts (humidors, cigar cutters, lighters, cases), watch winders and storage cases for automatic watches, decorative and scientific curiosity objects, and leather goods personalized by laser engraving, for gifts that last.

A great cigar deserves a humidor that matches it. A Rolex deserves a winder worthy of it. A desk deserves objects that inspire. This philosophy guides every one of our choices.

What guides us

Three values at the heart of every decision

01

Exacting selection

Each product is evaluated on its build quality, durability, and consistency with the Atelier Atypique world. We do not add a product simply because it sells well.

02

Knowledge sharing

Our journal sincerely shares the knowledge accumulated about our areas of expertise. Each article is written to be truly useful and to answer the real questions of enthusiasts.

03

The long view

We believe in objects that last. A quality leather case, a well-chosen humidor, a suitable winder: these are purchases that accompany you for years, not seasons.

Benjamin B.

Founder & Editor-in-Chief

Passionate about the art of living, cigars, and horology for over ten years, Benjamin founded Atelier Atypique with a clear mission: to offer objects with character, selected with exacting standards and recommended with honesty.

An enthusiast of great Havanas—Cohiba, Partagas, Montecristo—he has developed deep knowledge of cigar storage, the selection of tasting accessories, and aromatic pairings. Regarding horology, a personal collection of automatic watches has given him practical experience with watch winders, travel cases, and the maintenance of timepieces.

All articles in the journal are written based on this personal and direct experience: every piece of advice is rooted in real-world practice.

Transparency

Our model and independence

Atelier Atypique is an independent online boutique. Our articles are written to inform and advise, not to sell at any cost. If we recommend a product, it is because we deem it suitable for the described needs; if it has limitations, we say so.

We do not sell advertising space on our journal. Links in our articles point to our own products or to reference publications. To report an error or ask a question about our editorial method, contact us directly.
