Vivid colorsHandmade oil6 styles · square format

Here, color is not merely applied: it bursts, glides, collides, and blends. Chromatic Fusion brings together six gestural abstractions where rich, intense color fields—orange, magenta, ultramarine blue, yellow, or violet—are crossed by nervous black splashes and lines. Each composition creates a sense of movement and depth, like an explosion frozen at the very moment it occurs. A distinctive feature of the series: all canvases are offered in a square format, from 50 x 50 cm up to 140 x 140 cm, a rare proportion that gives the artwork a strong, balanced presence with no imposed orientation. Hand-painted on a thick canvas, using careful professional technique, each piece is made to order and delivered unframed. Its contemporary design makes it suitable for interiors that embrace color: living rooms, bedrooms, as well as bars, restaurants, game rooms, or creative spaces. For those looking to add a true touch of originality and an elegant, lively ambiance, this is a series with communicative energy.

Six styles, six energies

Style A
A – Colored dots
Gray background, orange, pink, lilac, and blue circles, black splashes.
Style B
B – Diagonal bursts
Blue, yellow, red, and white diagonal facets.
Style C
C – Magenta night
Black, magenta, and violet, white and red splatters.
Style D
D – Pastel script
Powder pink and gray, bright blue, black calligraphic lines.
Style E
E – Red flare
Red, black, and multicolored explosion on a white background.
Style F
F – Whirlpool
Blue, orange, and black swirl on an olive green background.

The price depends only on the side of the square, never on the letter chosen. Styles A, D, and E, with light backgrounds, are suitable for bright rooms; styles C and F, which are darker, bring intensity to light-colored walls.

The stroke

Action painting and texture

Chromatic Fusion is part of the lyrical abstraction tradition, where the painter's gesture is as important as the result. The large colored areas are applied in thick layers, sometimes scraped away to reveal the color underneath; the black lines are drawn with a rapid movement; small spots and drips are born from paint splashes. Each canvas thus retains the trace of the energy that brought it to life.

Oil paint is perfectly suited for this work: it remains malleable long enough to allow two colors to blend into one another—hence the series' name—while retaining the relief of the thickest brushstrokes. On a thick canvas, these layers gain depth and brilliance, and each color maintains its full intensity.

The square, a shape that changes everything

Most paintings are rectangular and impose a vertical or horizontal reading. The square, however, is neutral: it centers the gaze and creates a sense of stability that perfectly balances the explosion of colors in the compositions. It also fits more easily into atypical spaces: above a round table, on a section of wall between two doors, or as a pair on either side of a fireplace.

Our photos show the series in a living room with a white sectional sofa and cognac ottoman, above a low lacquered cabinet, in a dining room with white paneling and duck-egg blue walls, or even inset into a lit niche between glass shelves. Everywhere, it acts as a source of energy.

Finding your Chromatic Fusion

1
Note the colors in the room: cushions, rugs, armchairs, objects.
2
Choose the style that picks up one or two of these shades for a harmonious rather than discordant effect.
3
Select the square: 50 to 70 cm for a small space, 100 to 140 cm for a main wall.
4
Visit the framer upon receipt, as the canvas travels bare, then center it on the wall or furniture.

Comparing the six styles

Style Background Strong colors Spirit
A Light gray Orange, pink, blue Playful, pop
B Blue-gray Yellow, red, blue Dynamic
C Black and white Magenta, violet, red Nocturnal, intense
D Powder pink Blue, turquoise, black Soft, graphic
E White Red, black, multicolored Explosive
F Olive green Blue, orange, black Swirling
The explosion is performed for you: nothing is pre-painted, the canvas begins when your order arrives. Splashes, blends, and the placement of color fields are never reproduced identically. This artisanal custom-made process means shipping is less immediate than for a pre-packaged product.
The winning duo: two square canvases of the same size, for example styles A and D or C and F, hung side-by-side with 10 to 15 cm of space, create a spectacular ensemble above a sofa or console.

Things to keep in mind: the frames visible around the photographed canvases are not part of the shipment. Magenta or orange that is this bold will fade if hit by the sun every day: choose a wall out of direct sunlight. Finally, open the package delicately, as the thick textures do not like impacts.

A gift that adds color

For the opening of a bar, restaurant, or creative studio, a landmark birthday, or a housewarming in a still-all-white apartment, Chromatic Fusion is a joyful and bold gift that immediately transforms the atmosphere of a room.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why choose a square painting?
The square format offers a centered and balanced reading, which perfectly suits abstract compositions with no obvious top or bottom. It also resolves situations where a rectangle would feel uncomfortable: above a round table, on a nearly square section of wall, in a niche, or between two openings. In a duo or trio, squares form highly harmonious sets that are easy to align. Finally, the square has a more contemporary effect than a classic format: it evokes modern art galleries and gives the canvas the allure of a collector's item.
Which style should I choose for a bar or restaurant?
In a social space, you want a piece that creates ambiance and remains legible from a distance. Style C, Magenta Night, is ideal for a bar with dim lighting: its deep colors vibrate under warm light. Style E, with its red and black explosion on a white background, brings immediate energy to a restaurant with light walls. Style F, a blue and orange swirl on olive green, suits industrial decors featuring wood and metal. For a more relaxed space like a café, style A and its colorful dots add a cheerful note.
Won't such vivid colors tire the eyes?
That's a legitimate question, and the answer lies in the dosage. On a neutral, white, gray, or beige wall, a single colored canvas acts as a stimulating focal point without saturating the room. Simply avoid adding many other highly colored elements nearby. If you prefer moderate intensity, turn to style D, with its powder pinks and grays, or style A, whose light gray background tempers the colors. For a restful space like a bedroom, a medium size of 60 to 80 cm is enough to bring life without dominating the mood.
What size for a living room?
Above a sofa, a square canvas should be large enough to exist relative to the width of the furniture. For a two-to-three-seater sofa, aim for 100 x 100 to 120 x 120 cm if hanging a single canvas. If you prefer a duo, two 70 x 70 or 80 x 80 cm squares, spaced about ten centimeters apart, cover an equivalent width. On a large empty wall, the 140 x 140 cm format becomes a true centerpiece. For a secondary wall section or a reading corner, the 50 to 70 cm formats are perfectly adapted.
Why do some styles look similar in photos?
The six styles belong to the same series and share a common handwriting: fields of vivid color, nervous black lines, and splashes. However, their palettes and compositions are distinct, as summarized in the comparison table above. If you are hesitant between two styles, feel free to write to us before ordering: we will confirm the composition corresponding to each letter. Finally, remember that the artist repaints each canvas for the buyer: your piece will reflect the composition and colors of the chosen style, with slight variations in the placement of spots and lines.
Is the canvas delivered framed?
No: you receive the canvas only, and the frames in our staging photos are just for visualization. A framer will first mount it on wooden stretchers; it will then be ready to hang. For such a colorful piece, a sober frame is preferable: a thin black, white, or natural wood floating frame (caisse américaine) frames the composition without competing with the colors. Bare edges, without a frame, also work very well with the gestural and contemporary style of the series.
Can I order a rectangular format or a different size?
The series is designed in a square format, from 50 x 50 to 140 x 140 cm, because its compositions are conceived for this proportion. A different proportion can be considered, however: write to us before purchasing with the letter of the style and the surface available on your wall. Since the artist always starts from a blank canvas, they will know how to redistribute the colors and movement within a rectangle. Simply add the oil's drying time to the turnaround, which is slightly longer for areas with heavy texture.
