Distressed-effect leather, crazy horse style
So-called crazy horse leather is cowhide treated with oils and waxes, with a surface finish that gives it a subtly worn, rich, nuanced look from the outset. Pressure from a finger, a crease, or friction shifts the oils and locally lightens the color: this is known as the pull-up effect, the hallmark of this type of leather.
This material offers two advantages for a laptop sleeve. First, it provides flexible, substantial protection against everyday scratches. Second, it takes marks in stride: a light scuff often fades when rubbed with your palm, while signs of use blend into a patina that deepens over the months. The two available shades, Café and Oiled Brown, will each evolve in their own way as you travel.

Tip: A new leather sleeve may feel slightly snug at first; it softens quickly and molds to your laptop. Slide the device in gently, hinge first. To care for the distressed-effect leather, rub small marks with your palm and apply a colorless balm for oiled leather once or twice a year.

Caution: The TRAVERSÉE protects your laptop from scratches and minor knocks, but does not replace a shockproof case: avoid dropping it and do not place it in checked baggage. Do not close the zipper on a cable or trapped item, and avoid overloading the front pocket to prevent pressure on the screen. Genuine leather is not waterproof: avoid prolonged exposure to rain and direct heat. As every hide is unique, the color may vary slightly from one piece to another.

Is laser engraving really free?
Yes. Like every piece in the Voyageur Collection, the TRAVERSÉE sleeve comes with a first laser engraving free, whatever color and size you choose. You can add initials, a first name, a surname, a date, or a short motto. The laser marks the leather precisely, and the engraving develops a patina along with the sleeve. It's also a practical way to identify your laptop immediately in a meeting or at security. If you're unsure what to have engraved, our customer service team can advise you before production.
How do I add a logo or an additional engraving?
The first engraving is free. To add more, go to the “Engraving options” box just below the Add to cart button and select the option you want: “Add my logo” (€14.90 per item) to engrave a company, club, or event logo, or “Add an additional text area” (€5.90 per item) for a second text. The option is automatically added to your cart, once per item ordered. For a logo, we'll ask you to email us the file after ordering: for a crisp result, we recommend a vector file or a high-resolution image that is simple and high-contrast. An ideal choice for corporate gifts.
How do I know which size to choose?
Turn your laptop over: its model number (starting with the letter A followed by four digits) is printed in small text on the underside. Then find it in the compatibility table above: Air 13" (A1932, A2179, or A2337), Air 13.6" (A2681/A3113), and Pro 13" (A1708, A2159/A1706/A1989, A2251/A2289, or A2338) correspond to the 13" size. 14-inch Pro models with M1/M2 or M3/M4 chips (shown in your laptop settings) correspond to the 14" size. If in doubt, our customer service team can help you identify the right size before ordering.
What's the difference between Café and Oiled Brown?
Both colors are made from the same distressed-effect cowhide leather (crazy horse style) and have exactly the same features. The difference is in the shade: Café is a warm brown, while Oiled Brown has a deeper, richer look. As with all natural leather, the appearance varies slightly from one hide to another and changes with use: both shades develop a patina and nuanced tones over the months. Both colors are available in 13" and 14" sizes.
What can I store in the front pocket?
The zipped front pocket is designed for the accessories you use with your laptop: a charger, mouse, cables, an adapter, or a USB drive. It lets you carry everything in one item, without needing an extra bag. A pen loop on the side completes the design. Avoid very thick or rigid items, however: they could distort the sleeve and put pressure on the screen once it's packed in a bag. For more equipment, a work bag would be a better fit.
How do I care for the distressed-effect leather?
Distressed-effect cowhide leather is nourished with oils and waxes: it requires little maintenance. Dust it with a soft, dry cloth. Small marks often fade with a rub of the palm, the heat helping the oils migrate. Once or twice a year, apply a thin layer of colourless nourishing balm for oiled leathers, after testing it on a discreet area. If the sleeve gets wet, remove the computer and let it dry open, in the open air, away from a radiator. Avoid solvents and household wipes.
Are the computer and accessories included?
No. The Voyageur TRAVERSÉE is sold on its own: the computer, charger, mouse and pen shown in the photos are for illustrative purposes only and are not included. You will receive the distressed-effect cowhide leather sleeve in your chosen colour and size, with its zipped front pocket, side handle and pen loop. It can then be engraved with your initials thanks to the first free engraving, and paired with other pieces from the Voyageur Collection.
