Everything you need to know

Borosilicate glassBamboo lid350 or 450 ml

The Zen infusion mug brings together everything you need to prepare and enjoy a tea, herbal tea, or fruit-infused water in a single, slender object. Its cylindrical bottle silhouette combines a double-walled borosilicate glass body, a removable stainless steel infusion filter, and a bamboo lid with a natural grain. The leaves steep in the filter at the heart of the mug, allowing you to watch the drink gradually take on color through the transparent glass. The double wall creates an insulating layer that helps keep the drink hot longer, while the exterior remains comfortable to hold. The lid, equipped with a stainless steel ring, protects the drink from dust and helps retain heat. Two capacities are available: 350 ml (7.2 x 19 cm) and 450 ml (7.2 x 23 cm). Whether at the office, at home, or during an outdoor break, the Zen accompanies your tasting rituals with simplicity and elegance, from the first morning infusion to the last cup of the evening.

Two capacities

350 ml
350 ml – 7.2 x 19 cm
The compact size for a generous cup.
450 ml
450 ml – 7.2 x 23 cm
The large size for long days.

Both versions share the same 7.2 cm diameter, the same double-walled borosilicate glass, the same stainless steel filter, and the same bamboo lid: only the height, and thus the capacity, changes.

Materials of the Zen

Borosilicate glass, stainless steel, and bamboo

Borosilicate glass is glass to which boron oxide is added during manufacturing. This composition gives it better resistance to temperature variations than ordinary glass: this is why it is found in laboratory glassware, teapots, and infusion carafes. It is transparent, does not absorb odors, and does not retain the taste of drinks from one infusion to another. Designed as a double wall, it traps a layer of air between two layers of glass, which slows down heat exchange.

The filter and the lid ring are made of stainless steel, a metal valued in the kitchen for its neutrality and ease of maintenance. The lid is carved from bamboo, a fast-growing grass whose light and resistant wood brings a warm, natural touch to the whole.

A ritual to-go

The Zen is inspired by tea bottles that you can take anywhere: a straight glass cylinder, without a handle, that you keep within reach on the desk or slip into a bag. The bamboo lid, with its light grain, complements the transparency of the glass and the brushed shine of the stainless steel filter.

Inside, the perforated cylindrical filter sits at the top of the mug. Leaves unfurl freely, the infusion's color gradually spreads through the glass, and you can remove the filter as soon as the desired intensity is reached. A simple object that turns a tea break into a true moment of calm.

Prepare your infusion

1
Remove the stainless steel filter from the mug and place your tea leaves, herbs, or pieces of fruit inside.
2
Replace the filter in the mug, then pour in hot water at the appropriate temperature for your infusion.
3
Close the bamboo lid and let it steep for the desired time while observing the color through the glass.
4
Remove the filter to stop the infusion, then enjoy directly from the mug, at your own pace.

Criteria 350 ml 450 ml

Good to know: the stainless steel filter is removable. You can use it to steep, then remove it so you can enjoy your drink without the leaves continuing to steep and making it bitter.
Tasting tip: in summer, fill the filter with fresh fruit and a few mint leaves, add cold water, and let it steep in the refrigerator for naturally flavored water. In winter, preheat the mug with a little hot water before steeping your tea.

Frequently asked questions

How does the Zen mug filter work?
The Zen mug is equipped with a removable stainless steel infusion filter, which sits in the upper part of the mug. Simply remove it, place your tea leaves, herbs, or fruit pieces inside, then put it back before pouring in water. Ingredients steep in the heart of the drink while remaining contained. When the intensity is to your liking, remove the filter to stop the steeping process. It is the best way to avoid the bitterness of tea that has steeped too long, all while using a single container.
Which capacity to choose, 350 ml or 450 ml?
The 350 ml format, 19 cm high, corresponds to a large cup: it is perfect for a tea break at the office or daily use at home, and slips easily into a bag. The 450 ml format, 23 cm high, offers a more generous capacity for those who drink a lot throughout the day or who like to prepare an infusion in one go. Both versions share the same 7.2 cm diameter, the same materials, and the same filter: the choice simply depends on your consumption.
What is the double wall for?
The double wall consists of two layers of glass separated by an air gap. This space acts as an insulator: it slows down the cooling of hot drinks and limits the heat felt on the outer wall, which remains comfortable to hold in the hand. It also prevents some condensation when preparing a cold drink. Visually, the double wall creates an effect of lightness: the drink seems to float in the center of the glass. It is both a practical and aesthetic asset for enjoying your infusions.
Can I prepare cold fruit infusions in it?
Yes, the Zen mug is just as suitable for hot drinks as it is for flavored waters. Place pieces of fruit, a few slices of citrus, berries, or mint leaves in the filter, add cold water, and let it steep, in the refrigerator if necessary. The filter keeps the pieces contained so you can drink without being bothered. The transparent glass beautifully highlights the colors of the fruit. Just remember to clean the filter quickly after use, as fruit sugars can leave marks if they dry.
What is the lid made of?
The lid is made of bamboo, a natural, light, and resistant material, appreciated for its light hue and warm grain. It is equipped with a stainless steel ring that ensures it stays secure on the mug. The lid protects the drink from dust and helps preserve its heat during infusion. Like any wooden object, bamboo does not like prolonged soaking or the dishwasher: a quick hand wash, followed by immediate drying with a towel, will allow it to keep its beautiful appearance for a long time.
How do I clean the infusion mug?
Separate the three elements: the glass body, the filter, and the lid. Empty the leaves from the filter, then rinse it with clean water; a small brush helps dislodge fine particles from the perforations. The glass body should be washed with warm soapy water using a bottle brush, avoiding abrasive sponges to preserve its transparency. The bamboo lid should be cleaned by hand and must be dried immediately. Let the whole set dry disassembled before closing it, to avoid any odors related to residual humidity.
Is the Zen mug a good gift?
It is a popular gift for all tea and infusion enthusiasts, but also for those who wish to drink more water throughout the day thanks to fruit infusions. Its sleek look, blending glass, stainless steel, and bamboo, gives it an elegant touch that is a pleasure to give. It is suitable for a birthday, Mother's Day or Father's Day, a colleague gift, or a small end-of-year present. Accompanied by loose-leaf tea or a blend of plants, it makes for a complete and thoughtful gift set.
