✦
Real electromagnetic levitationThe moon floats 2 cm above the base via electromagnetic induction — no tricks, no wires, no optical illusions. Pass a sheet of paper between the base and the globe to see for yourself.
◆
Electromagnetic induction principleAn electromagnetic field generated in the base repels and stabilizes the magnet embedded in the moon — keeping it suspended at a stable 2 cm height.

Astronomy & tech giftFor tech enthusiasts, amateur astronomers, design lovers, or simply anyone who wants to reach for the Moon — literally.

MoonFlight — electromagnetic levitation · 3D resin moon D14 cm · wooden base · 3 brightness levels

It hovers. For real. No wires, no hidden supports, no artifice. The MoonFlight stays suspended in mid-air through the sole force of an electromagnetic field that repels the magnet housed inside the moon. Pass your hand between the base and the globe — nothing obstructs the space. The 3D resin lunar surface faithfully reproduces the craters and relief features of our satellite. The integrated light turns any room into an observatory. A centerpiece for curious minds and lovers of exceptional design.

How it works: an electromagnetic field is generated by electrical current in the base. This field repels and stabilizes the magnet integrated into the moon at exactly 2 cm high — without contact, without support. The moon can be gently rotated by hand and will continue to spin slowly on its axis.

Levitation setup: bring the moon globe to about 3–4 cm from the center of the base until you feel the magnetic repulsion, then release it gently. The globe will stabilize automatically at 2 cm. A light flick by hand allows the moon to spin slowly on its axis — just like the real satellite.

The gift to reach for the Moon: 3D resin moon D14 cm, 2 cm electromagnetic levitation, walnut or beech wood base, 3 brightness levels. An exceptional gift for a birthday, Christmas, housewarming, or tech-enthusiast — for any fan of astronomy, technology, or unique home decor.

Frequently asked questions

How does the MoonFlight levitation work?
Levitation is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. An electromagnetic field generated by the electrical current in the base repels and stabilizes the magnet embedded in the lunar globe — keeping it at exactly 2 cm high. There are no tricks, invisible wires, or optical illusions: you can pass your hand or a sheet of paper between the base and the globe.
What is the difference between the walnut and beech finishes?
The walnut finish offers a dark, warm tone with a pronounced grain — ideal for contemporary or classic interior design. The beech finish is lighter with a natural look — perfect for Scandinavian or minimalist decor. Both finishes measure identically at 13.4 × 13.4 × 2.8 cm.
Can the moon be set to rotate?
Yes — a light flick by hand allows the lunar globe to rotate slowly on its axis while in levitation, reproducing the rotation of the real Moon. Magnetic stability is maintained during rotation.
Does it need batteries? Does the base need to stay plugged in?
Yes — the base must remain plugged into a power outlet to maintain the electromagnetic field and the levitation. Without power, the globe will no longer remain suspended. The power cable is included.
