Indicate the text to be engraved when ordering: initials, full name, a memorable date, or a short message. Laser engraving marks the leather deeply and permanently, with no risk of fading. It is the difference between a standard case and an object that truly belongs to you. Your first engraving is free. Cowhide leather: why it’s the right choice for a cigar case
Cowhide leather is the most common leather in quality leather goods — and for good reason: it offers the best balance between impact resistance, flexibility, and the ability to develop a personalized patina over time. Thicker and more robust than lambskin, it effectively protects cigars from accidental pressure in a bag or pocket without losing its shape.
The Voyageur Slice utilizes this robustness for active transport: the buckle keeps the case closed even while on the move, and the leather absorbs the micro-shocks of daily life. Compatible formats and brands
Maximum length: 165 mm. Standard Churchills (178 mm) slightly exceed this limit. Check the exact length of your cigars before purchasing — some short formats (155-165 mm) will fit.
Cowhide patina. Genuine leather improves with time. Signs of wear, variations in shade, and the slight sheen of touched areas form a unique patina — no two Voyageur Slice cases will look the same after a few months. Do not try to “cover up” the first marks: they are the beginning of a story.
Care for the Voyageur Slice
Best practices
- Outer leather — use a slightly damp, soft cloth for marks. Apply a nourishing leather balm 1 to 2 times a year to maintain suppleness.
- Engraved area — use a dry cloth only. Avoid oily products on the engraving, as they may reduce the contrast.
- Buckle — regularly check that the buckle remains properly adjusted. Clean with a dry cloth if any residue accumulates.
- Storage — keep away from direct light and heat. Natural patina develops with use.
